This is a varied role where no two days are the same, you'll split your time between supporting live environments, delivering customer implementations and getting involved in networking, infrastructure and hardware deployments.

IT Support & Project Engineer

Location: Dublin Airport (4 days onsite initially)

We're recruiting for an IT Support & Project Engineer to join a global technology business delivering critical systems used by airports and airlines around the world. This is a varied role where no two days are the same—you'll split your time between supporting live environments, delivering customer implementations and getting involved in networking, infrastructure and hardware deployments.

If you enjoy solving technical problems, working directly with customers and seeing projects through from planning to go-live, this could be the perfect opportunity.

What you'll be doing

• Providing 2nd/3rd line technical support across software, hardware and infrastructure environments.
• Supporting and maintaining network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, IP addressing and firewalls.
• Troubleshooting Windows servers, end-user devices and network connectivity issues.
• Delivering customer implementations, upgrades and system rollouts both remotely and onsite.
• Installing, configuring and imaging servers, PCs and associated hardware.
• Working closely with airport IT teams during deployments and project delivery.
• Managing incidents through to resolution, providing regular customer updates throughout.
• Supporting multiple SaaS platforms within a global follow-the-sun support model.
• Delivering technical training to customers following successful implementations.
• Producing technical documentation, deployment guides and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborating with project managers, software engineers and international support teams.

What we're looking for

• Experience in an IT Support, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or Project Engineer position.
• Strong troubleshooting experience across Windows environments and Active Directory.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including:
  • TCP/IP
  • VLANs
  • Switching
  • DNS & DHCP
  • Basic firewall configuration
• Experience supporting servers, desktop hardware and infrastructure.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and explaining technical issues.
• Experience participating in IT projects, deployments or system implementations.
• Exposure to Azure or AWS would be advantageous.
• Basic scripting (PowerShell or similar) would be beneficial.
• Happy to travel internationally when required.
