Deal Desk Analyst
A leading global organisation is seeking a Deal Analyst to join their Dublin team - Initially on a contract basis with a view to extend.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify critical business issues faced by customers and assist in structuring transactions that meet both organisational requirements and customer needs.
- Manage the day-to-day deal approval process, liaising with sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders to articulate deal value consistently from both monetary and strategic perspectives.
- Draft and certify customer contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Perform according to specified metrics and service levels, demonstrating responsibility for adherence to policy and procedure throughout all stages of the deal process.
- Interact regularly with internal stakeholders including Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Revenue Assurance, Business Units, Order Management, Credit, and other functions to ensure smooth transaction flow.
- Communicate frequently with sales teams to guarantee consistent application of processes and policies across all deals.
- Ensure all transactions adhere strictly to internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines.
- Prepare in-quarter deal status reports and communicate updates effectively to management.
- Evaluate current processes within the deal desk function and offer thoughtful recommendations for areas of improvement.
- Act as a fiduciary in managing first line approvals for the deal approval process, accelerating deal closures through careful structuring.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Sales Finance, Sales Operations or Deal Desk roles.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and analysing binding sales agreements with attention to detail and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining dependable communication within a fast-paced environment.
- Proven capability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across various departments.
- Experience structuring multi-element contracts including subscriptions, licenses, services, and support offerings.
- Proficiency in software revenue recognition accounting principles such as SOP 97-2 and related guidelines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills that facilitate clear articulation of deal value.
- Strong organisational skills paired with effective problem-solving abilities that support collaborative outcomes.
- Any additional EMEA language skills (such as German or French) would be considered an advantage.
