Business Continuity Manager
Location: Dublin
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Continuity Manager to join a leading organisation in Dublin, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the delivery of critical healthcare, insurance, and customer services.
What you'll do:
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the groupwide business continuity and crisis management framework to ensure comprehensive organisational resilience.
- Own the end-to-end process for Business Impact Analysis, developing effective recovery strategies and overseeing regular testing programmes tailored to evolving risks.
- Design and manage an annual schedule of scenario-based and executive-level crisis exercises, ensuring preparedness at every level of the organisation.
- Work collaboratively with IT and Technology teams to guarantee alignment between business recovery requirements and IT disaster recovery capabilities, minimising potential service interruptions.
- Oversee third-party and supplier continuity arrangements by ensuring that all critical service providers maintain effective, tested contingency plans that support organisational objectives.
- Provide expert input into major change initiatives and new service introductions, proactively identifying potential resilience weaknesses before they impact operations.
- Act as a key contributor during major incident responses and crisis situations, supporting coordinated action across multiple departments.
- Deliver clear reporting and actionable insights to senior management while contributing valuable information for Board-level decision-making processes.
What you bring:
- A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience or a closely related discipline within complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience working with intricate IT environments as well as managing dependencies on third-party service providers for critical operations.
- A proven track record within regulated industries such as insurance, healthcare or financial services is highly desirable for understanding compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership abilities combined with strong influencing skills that foster collaboration among diverse internal teams and external partners.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills with the capacity to build trustful relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Proven capability to operate effectively under pressure during live incidents or crises while maintaining composure and clarity of thought.
- Alignment with organisational values including integrity, dependability, empathy, inclusivity, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
