A leading wealth management organisation is seeking a Client Asset Oversight Analyst to join their Dublin based team.

About the role

Supporting the Head of Client Asset Oversight in the oversight of outsourced custodian
activities to ensure operational compliance with the CBI Client Asset Regulations
(CAR). Working with key stakeholders in the RIM Operations teams and engaging with
2LOD (Compliance & Operational Risk)

Regulatory Requirements

This role is designated as a Control Function (CF) under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity Regime. The successful candidate will be required to meet and continue to meet the Fitness and Probity Standards issued by the Central Bank of Ireland

What you'll do:

  • Support the Head of Client Asset Oversight by monitoring outsourced custodian activities to ensure full operational compliance with Central Bank of Ireland Client Asset Regulations.
  • Act as a key point of contact for operational business areas regarding technical queries related to CAR, providing clear guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures related to CAR, collaborating closely with wider teams and stakeholders across the business.
  • Review and analyse breaches of CAR regulations, identifying trends, recommending additional oversight or training needs, and actively working towards reducing incidents.
  • Maintain the CAR risk database, ensuring all entries are accurate, up to date, and reflective of current risks.
  • Work collaboratively with assurance teams particularly those focused on operations and technology controls to periodically review both new and existing operational processes for CAR appropriateness.
  • Facilitate communication between the group and regulators on matters relating to CAR compliance, ensuring timely updates and responses.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes affecting CAR, assess their impact on business requirements, and report findings to senior management for action.
  • Assist with daily reconciliations related to CAR as required by the firm’s operational needs.
  • Promote a culture of CAR compliance through training initiatives, awareness campaigns, creation of guidance materials, and active participation in governance forums.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience working within a regulated financial services environment where adherence to strict compliance standards is essential.
  • Previous exposure to support roles such as client assets administration, operations processing, reconciliations or finance within financial services is highly desirable.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred but not mandatory if you have relevant practical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels across multiple departments.
  • Strong analytical abilities allowing you to identify trends in data breaches or process gaps while proposing constructive solutions.
  • A keen understanding of risk management principles as they apply within financial services operations.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly both verbally and in writing for diverse audiences including senior managers.
  • Experience supporting or delivering training initiatives aimed at raising awareness around regulatory frameworks such as CAR would be advantageous.
  • Meticulous attention to detail when maintaining databases or preparing reports for internal or external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach towards personal professional development coupled with a willingness to support team members’ learning journeys.
