A leading global asset management group is seeking an experienced Execution Dealer/Trader to join its Dublin-based dealing team.

What you’ll do:

  • Execute global equities trades against specific benchmarks in alignment with established investment strategies while strictly adhering to best execution policies.
  • Optimise order management and execution by utilising various trading strategies and algorithms to source appropriate liquidity across multiple markets.
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal risk and compliance rules throughout all trading activities.
  • Monitor best execution standards and conduct transaction cost analysis to ensure optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Liaise closely with Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Manager Assistants to provide key insights on market conditions, news flow, liquidity, and execution performance throughout the trading day.
  • Disseminate market intelligence to investment teams, adding value to the overall investment process through timely information sharing.
  • Coordinate with Middle Office colleagues to ensure timely settlement of all orders and effective cash management practices.
  • Manage broker relationships by conducting transaction cost analysis reviews and maintaining open communication channels for ongoing evaluation.
  • Execute FX Forward, FX Spot transactions, and futures trades as required by portfolio needs.
  • Work collaboratively with Compliance & Risk Departments to report potential incidents or breaches promptly and resolve them efficiently.

What you bring:

You will bring a comprehensive understanding of trade lifecycles—from initial execution through final settlement—ensuring every transaction is handled meticulously.

Key skills and experience sought:

  • Previous experience in global buy-side trading with proven expertise in worldwide equity markets.
  • Experience in derivatives trading including FX Forwards and Futures is necessary for handling complex portfolio needs.
  • Understanding principles of portfolio construction enables you to add value during trade execution processes.
  • Strong IT skills including proficiency with Bloomberg, Microsoft Office suite, OMS (Order Management System), EMS (Execution Management System), and other trading software providers are vital for efficient workflow.
  • Ability to adapt quickly under pressure ensures smooth functioning during volatile market conditions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail allows you to maintain accuracy across all aspects of trade execution and reporting.
  • Clear and concise communication skills facilitate effective interaction with Portfolio Managers, Middle Office staff, brokers, and compliance teams.
  • Strong organisational skills paired with problem-solving abilities enable you to manage multiple tasks efficiently within tight deadlines.
