Accounts Payable Specialist - 2 days office

Excellent opportunity to join an Irish success story with an expanding multinational presence. They are looking to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a fast paced AP role and will require someone who is used to working in a fast paced AP role. This role is based in South Dublin and have a flexible hybrid working model of only two days in the office. Salary circa €40,000 - €48,000 level DOE plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist

• Invoice Processing & System Management: Manage invoice workflows using Continia OCR and MS Business Central; ensure accuracy and compliance with coding standards.
• Purchase Orders & Approvals: Oversee PO processes, approval hierarchies, and policy compliance while addressing bottlenecks.
• Vendor Setup & Ledger Maintenance: Maintain supplier data integrity and resolve account discrepancies promptly.
• Query Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key contact for suppliers and internal teams, ensuring timely resolution of queries.
• KPIs & Reporting: Prepare AP performance reports and identify opportunities for process optimisation.
• Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with other finance teams on month-end close, audits, and ad hoc projects.

Key requirements of the Accounts Payable Specialist

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable, including 1–2 years in a senior AP role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to analyse large datasets.
• Experience with Continia and Microsoft Business Central (NAV) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills; confident engaging with suppliers and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment with exceptional attention to detail.
• Positive attitude with a focus on solutions, automation, and system optimisation.
