Aircraft Source Inspector
Role: Aircraft Source Inspector Job type: Contract and Permanent Opportunities Location:Belfast Salary: Competitive
We are working with a global engineering consultancy supporting major aerospace programmes worldwide. They are currently seeking experienced Aircraft Source Inspectors to support a final assembly programme, ensuring supplier parts and assemblies meet strict quality and regulatory standards.
These opportunities are available either as:
- Contract (initial duration 6 months, likely extending up to 2 years)
- Permanent employment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in‑process and final source inspections at supplier facilities
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and PO requirements
- Interpret GD&T and aerospace technical documentation
- Ensure adherence to AS9100, FAA, and customer quality standards
- Raise and support NCRs, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Document inspection results and communicate findings clearly
Experience Required
- Proven background in aerospace manufacturing and inspection, ideally airframe or fuselage
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision measurement tools
- Knowledge of AS9100 / aerospace quality systems
- Experience in supplier quality or source inspection environments
