Governance & Compliance Executive
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a large international organisation operating across multiple jurisdictions. This role sits within a central governance function and offers exposure to senior stakeholders, corporate governance processes, risk management initiatives and compliance activities across a complex business environment.
This position is ideal for a governance, legal, compliance, risk or company secretarial professional looking to further develop their career within a collaborative and highly professional team.
The Role
The successful candidate will support a broad range of governance, compliance and risk management activities, helping to ensure the organisation maintains effective oversight, strong governance standards and a culture of integrity and accountability.
Working closely with internal stakeholders across various business functions, you will gain valuable exposure to corporate governance frameworks, board and committee processes, regulatory compliance initiatives and enterprise risk management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing development and administration of governance and compliance frameworks, policies and procedures.
- Assist with compliance monitoring activities and engagement with internal stakeholders across the organisation.
- Coordinate periodic governance and compliance reporting processes.
- Support enterprise risk management activities, including risk reporting and oversight processes.
- Assist with the administration of corporate governance and company secretarial activities across multiple entities.
- Support confidential reporting and case management processes where required.
- Prepare reports, presentations, briefing papers and governance materials for senior management and committees.
- Coordinate meetings, actions and follow-up activities relating to governance and compliance initiatives.
- Contribute to a range of governance, risk and compliance projects as required.
About You
- Degree qualified in Law, Business, Finance, Governance or a related discipline.
- Experience within governance, compliance, risk management, company secretarial, legal or professional services environments.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proactive and professional approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience supporting governance committees or board-related processes would be advantageous.
- Professional qualifications, or an interest in pursuing qualifications in governance, compliance, risk or related disciplines, are desirable.
