About the Role

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an Associate to join its Transaction Control Sanctions Screening Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented professional to work in a high volume, fast paced environment supporting critical compliance and financial crime prevention processes across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sanctions screening on live transactions and customer records across the EMEA region.
• Process a high volume of transactions in real time, with daily throughput expectations exceeding 400 transactions.
• Review Politically Exposed Person (PEP) alerts within the firm’s sanctions screening systems.
• Utilise industry standard tools to analyse and assess screening results.
• Escalate potential matches or concerns in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in a time-sensitive environment.

Skills & Experience

• Prior experience in sanctions screening, AML, or financial crime compliance is desirable.
• Familiarity with screening tools is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage high volume workloads and meet deadlines.
• Good understanding of PEP, sanctions, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
