Senior Manager Operations and Governance Maternity Cover (15 month contract)

What you'll do:

• Oversee daily core operations including liquidity activities such as CBI deposits, TARGET2/Nostro accounts management, settlements processing, wire and journal approvals, and resolution of operational breaks to ensure seamless business functioning.
• Manage all aspects of CBI regulatory processes and reporting by coordinating minimum reserve requirements, Central Bank Repos (MRO/MLF), annual OSII reporting obligations, and responding to regulatory data requests with accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide senior oversight for intragroup services and service level agreements by conducting monthly monitoring sessions and annual reviews of agreements with internal service partners to maintain high-quality service delivery.
• Support the implementation of governance and risk frameworks through active participation in control testing oversight and continuous improvement of internal controls.
• Prepare comprehensive Management Information (MI) reports and contribute detailed updates for various management committees including Operating Committee, Risk Management Committee, and Executive Management Committee.
• Take ownership of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management by coordinating BCM testing activities, overseeing CBPS processes, and ensuring DORA/EBA compliance for critical business applications.
• Maintain up-to-date local operations policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that align with evolving regulatory expectations to foster a culture of compliance.
• Act as the primary escalation point for Lines of Business and Support Functions across Ireland, UK, US, and Canada regarding any operations-related matters or incidents requiring prompt resolution.
• Support regulatory change initiatives as well as new business ventures by assessing their impact on post-trade operations and driving successful project outcomes.
• Lead operational engagement during internal and external audits by managing evidence provision processes efficiently and tracking remediation actions to closure.

What you bring:

• Extensive experience working within banking or capital markets operations in a regulated environment where attention to detail is paramount.
• In-depth understanding of CBI regulations as well as EBA guidelines related to outsourcing arrangements and operational resilience frameworks.
• Demonstrated success collaborating with regulators, auditors, or senior governance committees on complex compliance matters or strategic initiatives.
• Exceptional judgement skills combined with a strong control mindset that enables effective risk identification and mitigation across operational processes.
• Outstanding interpersonal abilities including clear communication skills that facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams at all levels.
• Proven track record in stakeholder management where building trust-based relationships leads to positive outcomes for all parties involved.
• Experience supporting or implementing governance frameworks that enhance organisational transparency while meeting evolving regulatory expectations.
• Ability to coordinate business continuity planning activities such as BCM testing or DORA/EBA compliance assessments for critical processes.
• Adept at preparing detailed management information reports tailored for executive audiences or committee presentations within financial services environments.
