Part-Qualified Accountant- Legal Firm
A leading professional services organisation in Dublin is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join its established finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will join a close-knit finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business. The position offers broad exposure across financial controls, month-end reporting, payroll, reconciliations, and management accounting activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Managing accounting activities across multiple entities
- Processing and overseeing monthly payroll activities in Ireland and the UK
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger postings, debtors, and creditors
- Performing month-end control procedures across key balance sheet accounts
- Supporting the Financial Controller with financial reporting and process improvements
- Assisting with day-to-day finance operations and providing support across the wider finance team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 5+ years' experience in a finance, accounts, or assistant accountant position
- Strong experience with reconciliations, month-end processes, and financial controls
- Payroll experience would be advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced professional environment
- Accounting Technician qualification or similar would be beneficial but is not essential
Experience within a legal, professional services, or partnership environment would be an advantage, although candidates from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.
