Group Financial Accountant Naas - Hybrid

A well established FMCG company with a global presence is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a permanent role based in Naas (three days office). Salary circa €70,000 level DOE.

Role Overview:
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing month-end accounts, reporting packs, and variance analysis while providing insightful commentary on trends. You will be responsible for intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet management, audit preparation, and supporting daily finance activities. Your expertise will help drive efficiency and accuracy across the department while ensuring timely reporting and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare month-end accounts and reports for review.
• Develop month-end reporting packs, including KPI analysis and commentary.
• Manage intercompany journals and reconciliations.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory management.
• Support daily finance department activities and ensure timely completion of key reports.
• Coordinate audit processes and address queries promptly.
• Review daily bank and PSP reconciliations.
• Oversee AP processes to ensure timely invoice trading.
• Prepare weekly cashflow reports with variance analysis commentary.
• Assist with budget/forecast processes for the business.
• Deliver accurate reporting while managing stakeholder expectations.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
• Evaluate, develop, and improve departmental controls, systems, and procedures.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant with at least 2 years’ PQE in commercial or management accounting.
• Relevant third-level business qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft NAV is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
• Commercially aware, action-oriented, and self-motivated to progress professionally.
