Senior Financial Accountant

Robert Walters are partnering with a global multinational to hire a Senior Financial Accountant to join their EMEA finance team. You will play a key role in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements. This position offers exposure to multicurrency operations, US GAAP and SOX compliance. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant

• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and provide commentary to support month-end and quarterly reporting.
• Lead a team of two Assistant Accountants
• Collaborate with local contacts on financial accounting matters for responsible entities.
• Complete promotional allowance reporting and quarterly reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and manage audits for assigned entities.
• Coordinate with tax advisors and third-party providers.
• Assist with inventory-related tasks and processes.
• Support project-related activities and process improvements.
• Contribute to the absorption of new entities into the finance structure.
• Address ad hoc month-end queries as needed.

Key requirements of the Senior Financial Accountant

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with 2–3 years post-qualification experience in an EMEA finance function
• Proven leadership qualities with experience in team development/management.
• Familiarity with fast-paced, multicurrency environments; US GAAP and SOX knowledge advantageous.
• Proficiency in SAP systems is highly desirable.
• Strong MS Outlook and Excel skills.
