VP - IT Security (IaC/ Policy as Code/ DevSecOps) - Banking

A global bank is expanding their security team, hiring for a talented VP - IT Security SME to join their Security Architecture & Engineering team in Dublin. This role will focus on identifying opportunities to automate existing security processes and controls, designing scalable solutions, and embedding security into infrastructure and application delivery pipelines.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop and implement security automation solutions to reduce risk and improve operational efficiency across infrastructure and product teams.
• Identify manual security processes and controls that can be automated.
• Design and integrate security controls into new and existing CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and enforce security policies through automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code.
• Work across Security, Infrastructure, Engineering and Product teams to improve the implementation and operation of security controls.
• Support the review, design and implementation of security-related technical changes across the Bank’s environment.

What you'll bring:

• Strong understanding of Information Security principles, including:
• Network Security
• Infrastructure Security
• Endpoint Security
• Hands-on experience operating or engineering security controls across multiple technology domains.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using technologies such as Python, PowerShell and/or Bash.
• Practical experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Understanding of Policy as Code and how it can be used to automate security governance and control enforcement.
• Experience integrating security controls into engineering and deployment pipelines.
