Front Office - Java Developer - Banking (multiple headcounts)

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a business-critical front-office trading platform, supporting the structuring, valuation and matching of Interest Rate products. The successful candidate will be involved in developing high-performance, scalable and reliable trading applications, working closely with traders, business analysts and technology teams across multiple regions.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance trading applications using Core Java (Java 25).
• Build scalable, distributed and multithreaded applications supporting front-office trading workflows.
• Collaborate directly with traders, quants, business analysts and global engineering teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Develop and optimise applications with a strong focus on performance, reliability and scalability.
• Conduct JVM profiling, performance tuning, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in Agile development, test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD practices.
• Provide Level 3 production support and resolve complex technical issues when required.

What you'll bring:

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on Core Java expertise.
• Excellent understanding of multithreading, concurrency, asynchronous programming and distributed systems.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures and design principles.
• Commercial experience with Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and OpenShift.
• Hands-on experience in JVM monitoring, profiling, debugging and performance optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of test-driven development (TDD), automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience delivering complex applications in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience within Investment Banking, Front Office Trading, Pricing or Market/Credit Risk.
• Experience developing low-latency, high-throughput trading systems, including lock-free programming.
• Knowledge of Kafka, event-driven architecture or messaging platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Nomad, gRPC or cloud-native applications.
• Exposure to JavaScript, TypeScript or React.
• Experience with workflow orchestration, scheduling or state management.
