A leading international financial institution in Dublin is seeking an AML & Financial Crime Associate to join their highly respected Compliance Department in Dublin.

About the role

  • Act as an analyst within the Dublin-based Transaction Control team.

  • Process and/or verify the initial review and authorisation of all live transactions flagged by the company's sanction filters.

  • Investigate fraud alerts identified by the detection system and escalate when necessary.

  • Confirm the authenticity of goods shipments related to all trade finance transactions.

  • Investigate the origin and destination of all incoming and outgoing funds.

  • Work closely with processing teams and Front Office Relationship Managers to support transactional investigations.

  • Collaborate with Financial Crime Group teams for escalations or to receive expert guidance.

  • Provide Management Information (MI) on trends, transaction volumes, and emerging threats such as types of fraud or sanction-related concerns.

  • Support reporting for Executive Committee, Operational Governance and Risk Committee submissions.

What is expected of you

  • To act as a subject matter expert for the first line of defence, in the three lines of defence model, protecting the company and its clients from Fraud, Sanctions, and Financial Crime risks in relation to all live transactions processed EMEA wide.
  • To assist CPD with investigations and background information relating to any transactional financial crime investigation that they may be conducting

To escalate and formally report any transaction which appears to expose the company to any sanction, fraud or AML/CFT risks, submitting a SAR where necessary
