An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Claims Analyst to join a highly respected reinsurance organisation based in Dublin. This role offers you the chance to take full responsibility for a defined portfolio of reinsurance claims, managing the entire process from initial analysis through to final reporting.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Claims Analyst based in Dublin, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse portfolio of reinsurance claims from start to finish. Your day-to-day activities will involve conducting thorough analyses of complex claims scenarios while ensuring all relevant data is accurately captured within internal systems.

You will:

  • Conduct comprehensive claim analysis for both treaty and facultative reinsurance claims, carefully assessing exposures and establishing appropriate reserves to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Check and register loss advices, cash-loss requests, and technical accounts within your assigned portfolio, maintaining meticulous records throughout the process.
  • Actively identify, gather, and verify all necessary information required for effective claims handling by engaging with internal teams and external partners as needed.
  • Manage claims efficiently within departmental systems, including electronic document management platforms, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Participate in regular data quality checks to maintain high standards of accuracy across all claims-related data sets.
  • Analyse claims data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that can inform decision-making and improve future processes.
  • Prepare detailed management reports on a daily, weekly, or quarterly basis as required, clearly communicating developments and issues to internal business partners.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters, actuaries, and accounting teams located in different regions to resolve claims-related matters efficiently.
  • Review incoming loss information from clients with care and communicate effectively to provide updates or request additional details as necessary.
  • Support special projects or ad-hoc tasks as they arise, contributing your expertise wherever it is most valuable.

What you bring:

To excel as a Senior Claims Analyst in this Dublin-based role, you will bring extensive experience within the (re)insurance industry—particularly in claims administration.

Your academic background includes at minimum a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; an advanced degree would further enhance your suitability.

You are adept at using key software tools such as Excel, Word, Power BI, Business Objects, SICS/nt systems, and ACORD messaging formats.

Your fluency in English enables seamless communication both internally and externally; any additional German language skills would be particularly useful when dealing with specific contracts or liaising with overseas colleagues.

Beyond technical abilities, your success will stem from strong organisational habits that allow you to juggle competing demands without sacrificing attention to detail.

You thrive when working collaboratively across functions—valuing teamwork just as much as individual contribution—and are known for your thoughtful approach when analysing complex information or supporting special projects.
