Part - Qualified Accountant

My client is seeking a motivated Part-Qualified Accountant to join their small and dynamic accounting practice based in County Meath. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience, particularly with sole traders, who is looking to continue developing their skills in a supportive and hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accounts to trial balance stage for a range of clients, including sole traders and small businesses

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts

• Handle bookkeeping tasks, including ledger entries, reconciliations, and journals

• Assist with VAT returns, PAYE, and other tax compliance duties

• Liaise with clients regarding their financial records and accounting queries

• Work closely with senior accountants and partners on a variety of client accounts

• Support in audit preparation where required

Requirements:

• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a small or medium-sized accounting practice

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and trial balance preparation

• Experience working with sole traders and small business clients

• Proficient in accounting software

• Good attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
