We’re hiring Cloud Engineers to join our new Cloud Centre of Excellence, helping design, migrate, and optimise secure GCP solutions while working with talented Cloud, QA, and AI teams across a regulated, multi-cloud environment.

About the job:

We're seeking highly skilled and motivated Google Cloud Engineers to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform as part of a multicloud environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, resilient, scalable and secure solutions that meet business requirements

What you’ll do:

  • Design, implement and maintain core Google Cloud infrastructure and services in line with enterprise standards and architectural direction
  • Work closely with internal IT teams, including Information Security, Networks, Infrastructure and Support, to deliver compliant and resilient cloud solutions
  • Build, maintain and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using approved tools and engineering patterns
  • Contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines, helping to automate provisioning, configuration and deployment of cloud workloads
  • Monitor, support and troubleshoot Google Cloud environments to ensure availability, performance and operational stability
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of cloud security controls and best practices, including IAM, access management, encryption and logging, in partnership with Information Security
  • Collaborate with application and engineering teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with existing platforms and services
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation covering designs, configurations and operational procedures using corporate documentation tools
  • Remain current with Google Cloud Platform technologies and industry best practices, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience (typically 3-5+ years) working as a Cloud Engineer with Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and their implementation in GCP, including networking, compute, storage and security
  • Experience supporting or contributing to enterprise‑scale cloud environments, ideally within regulated or risk‑aware organisations
  • Working knowledge of enterprise GCP patterns, such as landing zones, shared services models and network and connectivity approaches
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tooling, including Git‑based workflows and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Cloud Build, GitLab, etc.)
  • Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform experience strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of Google Cloud IAM, including roles, service accounts and access control principles
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools, such as Bash, PowerShell or Python
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes/GKE) is advantageous
  • Exposure to other cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and AWS, is a strong plus
  • Relevant Google Cloud certifications are advantageous
