Save job

Are you looking for a newly created role that you can bring your expertise to? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk Manager (Dublin based and hybrid model of 3 days in office) to join the company's head office and support the development of risk management frameworks across the business.

What you'll do:

As a Risk Manager, you will immerse yourself in every aspect of the organisation’s risk landscape. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with stakeholders across departments to ensure that everyone understands their role in managing risk.

You will:

  • Implement, maintain, and update comprehensive risk management processes that align with organisational objectives and industry best practices.
  • Examine business activities thoroughly to identify potential risks by collecting and analysing data from both internal operations and external market factors.
  • Summarise findings in formal documentation such as risk registers to define the organisation’s overall risk profile and inform future strategies.
  • Analyse the financial implications of identified risks, providing clear insights into potential impacts on business performance.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and evaluations to ensure ongoing awareness of emerging threats and opportunities within the business environment.
  • Offer strategic advice on the implementation of advanced risk management methodologies tailored to specific projects or operational areas.
  • Lead ongoing self-assessment initiatives for risk management procedures, identifying areas for improvement and driving enhancements as needed.
  • Report regularly to relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity around individual accountability for specific risks within their remit.
  • Educate employees at all levels on risk awareness through training sessions, workshops, and accessible communication materials.
  • Assess the adequacy of insurance policies in relation to identified business risks, making recommendations for adjustments where necessary.

What you bring:

To excel as a Risk Manager in this setting, your background should reflect substantial hands-on experience navigating complex organisational structures where effective risk mitigation is critical. You will:

  • Hold qualifications in business-related disciplines with postgraduate credentials in risk management considered highly advantageous for this position.
  • Demonstrate experience in a dedicated risk management role, ideally within a manufacturing or similarly complex environment.
  • Possess deep understanding of ISO 31000 principles as well as practical experience applying these standards within project contexts including quantification and analysis of risks.
  • Showcase advanced analytical abilities enabling you to interpret large volumes of information, identify patterns or trends, and assess likely outcomes of various scenarios.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills complemented by strong relationship-building capabilities which allow you to collaborate effectively under pressure with colleagues at all levels.
  • Have proven experience developing and implementing comprehensive risk management policies and processes tailored to organisational needs.
  • Display technical proficiency in risk modelling, assessment techniques, regulatory compliance requirements, contingency planning, crisis management protocols, technology integration (including cybersecurity), data analytics/reporting tools, commercial acumen, change management strategies, problem-solving approaches, strategic agility, proactive solution orientation, cross-functional teamwork dynamics as well as integrity/trustworthiness.
