Head of Risk

An opportunity to work as The Head of Risk (PCF-14) for a fintech firm in Dublin that is new to the Irish market has become available.

As the Head of Risk (PCF-14) you will:

• Design, implement and manage the risk governance framework in conjunction with senior management and the board of directors
• At least once per annum, coordinate a comprehensive review of the risk governance framework
• Maintain a risk register by actively monitoring the identified risks and agreed controls have been embedded within the business
• Assist management in identifying and assessing risks associated with the current and proposed future business activities, including new products, new business relationships and any extension of operations or network on an international level
• Work with the senior management team and provide independent assurance on the key operational risks of the business, partnering with the business to address any identified gaps
• Provide early warning, guidance and advice on upstream and regulatory change, assessing the key risk and implications for the business and contributing to and supporting the implementation strategy
• Create and maintain business continuity plans for the firm
• Oversee the risk related outsourced activities to ensure they are performed in line with the applicable Irish and EU regulatory and legislative requirements, guidance and industry best practices

The Head of Risk (PCF-14) will have strong experience in risk and operational risk management, with exposure to monitoring, testing and assurance experience as well as having knowledge in building and running sound end-to-end risk management program with first-hand experience and understanding of risk related requirements and expectation for Ireland and EU. They will be highly organised, meticulous and will bring lots of energy.
