What you'll do:
- Oversee all monitoring activities for external and intra-group third party arrangements to ensure full compliance with policy requirements and regulatory expectations across the EMEA region.
- Manage a team of 6-8 direct reports at AVP/Associate level, guiding them through oversight processes, controls, reporting, and governance as per agreed service level agreements.
- Review the effectiveness of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Risk Indicators (KRIs), and provide insightful reporting on outcomes to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure that oversight controls are operating effectively by coordinating with both the Third Party Management team and key stakeholders involved in third party risk management.
- Handle escalations, breaches, and exceptions related to third party oversight activities with sensitivity and promptness, ensuring appropriate resolution in line with company standards.
- Deliver comprehensive management information reports that demonstrate effective third party management oversight and highlight the efforts of your team.
- Support recruitment, retention, training, and development initiatives for your team members while promoting organisational cultural values throughout all activities.
- Contribute to change initiatives within Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Procurement functions by supporting process improvements and remediation projects as required.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for TPRM frameworks, standards, procedures, policies, training materials, and guidance documents with meticulous attention to detail.
- Act as an advisory resource for third party stakeholders by helping them understand their oversight obligations through training sessions and clear communication channels.
- Serve as the first line of defence point of contact for operational oversight queries related to TPRM and Procurement across the region.
- Assist internal and external audits or reviews by providing timely responses to information requests while ensuring transparency in all dealings.
- Build positive partnerships with Third Party Entity Officers and other TPM stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations across multiple legal entities.
- Proven experience managing first line of defence third party management teams responsible for operational processes and control activities within large organisations.
- Thorough understanding of current UK and European regulations relevant to third party management including major regulatory bodies and practical experience implementing these requirements within industry settings.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage external market data as well as internal sources to inform effective oversight of third parties across diverse geographies.
- Strong grasp of both strategic procurement principles and operational supply chain management practices within financial services or similar regulated sectors.
- Expertise in designing robust reporting systems that measure service delivery quality for third party management functions while analysing issues to recommend clear remediation options.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk metrics tailored for multi-entity environments.
- Track record of delivering responsive service under SLAs to multiple internal clients by building proactive solutions that address regional needs efficiently.
- Experience identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery processes implementing enhancements that benefit both internal teams and external partners alike.
- Ability to operate effective controls aligned with risk management framework objectives while ensuring compliance with governance standards across all levels of operation.
- Detailed understanding of intragroup outsourcing arrangements coupled with hands-on experience overseeing service management functions within complex organisations.
- Exceptional presentation skills enabling production of high-quality materials that facilitate informed decision-making among senior stakeholders during governance submissions or information sharing sessions.
- Outstanding communication abilities capable of simplifying technical topics for non-specialist audiences while articulating issues clearly enough to drive action among cross-functional teams.
- Proven stakeholder management skills building positive relationships internally/externally; influencing agreement; resolving conflicting priorities even in ambiguous situations through empathy-driven negotiation techniques.
- Meticulous attention to detail when producing or maintaining TPRM documentation such as policies, frameworks, training guides or procedural manuals especially when collaborating with offshore/nearshore teams.
- Familiarity with TPRM tooling platforms plus data management technologies used for collaboration/reporting/training purposes within regulated industries.
