Compliance & Monitoring Manager (1 day in office)
A leading financial services organisation in Dublin is seeking a Compliance Manager to d take ownership of the compliance monitoring programme. You will be instrumental in executing deep dive reviews, supporting the development and maintenance of compliance frameworks, and contributing to the ongoing success of the business.
What you'll do:
As the Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will play an integral role in safeguarding regulatory standards across all aspects of business operations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Executing comprehensive deep dive reviews as outlined in the Compliance Monitoring Plan, including drafting detailed planning documents, work programmes, and findings reports for managerial review.
- Tracking and managing the closure of actions arising from compliance monitoring reviews to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Drafting the Compliance Risk Assessment and Compliance Monitoring Plan for review by senior management, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory expectations.
- Preparing key compliance documentation such as the Compliance Risk and Control Self Assessment and Annual Statement of Compliance Attestation for managerial approval.
- Overseeing the management of the Compliance Breach Management Process, including tracking remediation actions through to closure to maintain organisational integrity.
- Drafting, updating, and maintaining relevant policies, standards, and procedures to ensure they reflect current regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Reviewing company literature and financial promotions to ensure accuracy, transparency, and adherence to applicable regulations.
- Supporting the execution of processes related to the Individual Accountability Framework (including Fitness & Probity, SEAR, and Conduct Standards) owned by the compliance function.
What you bring:
- A professional compliance qualification or suitable equivalent that demonstrates your commitment to upholding industry standards; and/or a professional risk qualification or equivalent experience relevant to regulated financial services environments.
- Bring a proven track record of practical experience within a Central Bank of Ireland or Financial Conduct Authority regulated financial services firm or consultancy setting.
- Ideally have direct experience within the life insurance sector or similar regulated industries where compliance is paramount.
- Demonstrate proficiency in applying monitoring or audit methodologies within complex financial organisations.
- Show strong knowledge of regulatory requirements gained through hands-on experience in relevant roles.
- Have practical understanding of GDPR principles with proven ability to apply them effectively within business contexts.
- Display commercial awareness alongside critical thinking skills that enable you to analyse data thoroughly and make well-founded recommendations.
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing; able to explain complex issues simply while negotiating or persuading stakeholders as needed.
- Exhibit excellent organisational skills as a dependable self-starter who can prioritise tasks quickly under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
