Save job

A Dublin‑based international life insurer is looking to appoint a Product Oversight and Governance Specialist to support the continued development of its product governance framework. In this role, you’ll help strengthen oversight across multiple markets and product ranges, ensuring regulatory expectations are met and that customer needs remain central to the organisation’s approach.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the product oversight and governance framework remains robust, up-to-date, and aligned with risk management systems.
  • Support the Product Development Team by providing guidance on compliance, regulatory, and audit projects related to new or existing products.
  • Implement company-wide and group-level guidance on all matters relating to product oversight and governance, ensuring consistent application across business units.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for new or amended products, including POG reports that satisfy both local and European regulatory requirements such as PRIIPs and IDD.
  • Monitor developments in product-related regulations, keeping the team informed of changes that may impact processes or documentation standards.
  • Assist colleagues in maintaining accurate records that demonstrate adherence to oversight requirements, translating complex regulations into practical procedures.
  • Contribute actively to product reviews by defining target markets, embedding customer centricity into design processes, and supporting distribution partner management.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to communicate governance expectations clearly and influence best practice adoption throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure that all activities reflect a commitment to transparency, accuracy, and regulatory integrity in line with industry standards.

What you bring:

  • Minimum two years’ experience working within life insurance or a related field with direct exposure to product regulatory frameworks, particularly Italian or broader European sectorial regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all organisational levels, influencing outcomes through clear explanations of governance requirements.
  • Solid understanding of business or insurance operations gained through hands-on experience in similar environments.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks such as PRIIPs (Packaged Retail Investment Products) and IDD (Insurance Distribution Directive), enabling you to contribute confidently during audits or compliance reviews.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with the capacity to translate complex oversight requirements into practical business procedures that can be easily adopted by others.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Italian would be advantageous but is not required for success in this position.
  • Proven track record of supporting teams through compliance projects by maintaining accurate documentation and monitoring regulatory developments.
  • Commitment to embedding customer-centric principles into product design processes while ensuring alignment with corporate governance standards.
