Compliance Governance and Operations Manager A leading global financial institution is seeking a Compliance Governance and Operations Manager for its Core Compliance team in Dublin.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the full life-cycle of compliance testing, overseeing planning, execution, reporting, and driving continuous improvement across all processes.
  • Develop comprehensive annual monitoring and testing plans that align with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Determine the scope of reviews by building detailed review steps and organising documentary evidence to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Execute tests diligently and prepare summary reports that document exceptions, action plans, and recommendations for remediation.
  • Participate actively in compliance risk assessment exercises to identify potential areas of concern and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with ad-hoc compliance projects and initiatives as required by senior management or regulatory changes.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders locally and globally to foster collaboration and share best practices within the compliance function.
  • Identify and report operational risk events in accordance with established policies, ensuring timely escalation of issues as needed.
  • Contribute positively to the organisation’s reputation by adhering to ethical standards and supporting responsible interactions with clients, regulators, industry bodies, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure full awareness of management reporting lines and escalation procedures so that regulatory or compliance issues are communicated promptly.

What you bring:

  • Minimum of five years’ demonstrated experience in compliance or related roles within financial services is essential for success in this position.
  • Proven track record of testing and monitoring the design and effectiveness of business controls within complex environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of wholesale capital markets regulations coupled with familiarity with industry best practices.
  • Exceptional problem solving abilities combined with the capacity to work independently while prioritising tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills enabling clear articulation of findings to diverse audiences including senior management.
  • Ability to build dependable relationships with stakeholders at all levels through collaborative engagement and shared goals.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical behaviour by consistently acting honestly, professionally, and responsibly when interacting with colleagues or external parties.
  • Experience identifying operational risk events promptly according to policy guidelines while supporting reputational risk management efforts.
  • Capacity for diligent adherence to internal policies as well as external regulatory requirements from multiple governing bodies relevant to financial services operations.
  • Willingness to contribute positively towards team objectives by sharing knowledge openly within an inclusive environment focused on continuous learning.
