What you'll do:

  • Taking detailed instructions from clients and ensuring their needs are fully understood and addressed throughout each stage of their case.
  • Reviewing client files thoroughly to determine appropriate next steps and maintaining meticulous records of all actions taken.
  • Providing clear, considered advice to clients regarding their files, outlining options and guiding them through complex legal processes with empathy and professionalism.
  • Managing incoming correspondence from clients, agents, and other solicitors efficiently while maintaining a polite and approachable manner at all times.
  • Handling a high volume of cases across litigation and conveyancing matters, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising attention to detail or quality of service.
  • Drafting proceedings, motions, and other legal documents with precision, demonstrating your familiarity with relevant procedures and requirements.
  • Liaising closely with clients following court outcomes to explain results sensitively and discuss subsequent steps in their legal journey.
  • Communicating effectively with court services to ensure smooth progress of cases through the judicial system.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the legal team to share knowledge, provide support, and contribute positively to a communal working atmosphere.
  • Adapting flexibly to changes in duties or expectations as required by the evolving needs of the practice.

What you bring:

**** Be a Solicitor admitted to practice law in Ireland, England or Wales.

  • At least three years’ post-qualification experience in general practice with substantial exposure to both litigation and conveyancing matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also showing initiative when working independently on complex cases.
  • Proven track record as a pro-active thinker who approaches challenges with problem-solving skills rooted in compassion and understanding.
  • Calm demeanour under pressure combined with a professional approach that reassures clients during stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling you to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures including drafting proceedings, motions, and related documentation required for effective case management.
  • Previous experience handling debt recovery or repossession cases would be advantageous but not essential for success in this role.
  • Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy across all aspects of file management, document preparation, and correspondence handling.
  • Competence using Microsoft Office applications which supports efficient workflow management within a modern legal practice environment.
