Our client is seeking an experienced Solicitor for a fixed-term maternity leave cover role within their legal team in Dublin. What you'll do:
As a Solicitor for this maternity leave cover role, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive legal advice and support to the general insurance business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include drafting, negotiating, and advising on a variety of commercial agreements. You will also play a key role in providing solution-focused legal support for regulatory and business change projects. Your ability to advise on legal risk matters and support with commercial risk mitigation will be crucial in this role.
- Provide a wide range of legal advice and support to the general insurance business
- Draft, negotiate and advise on various commercial agreements including services agreements, data processing agreements, distribution agreements and IT/software contracts
- Provide solution-focused legal support for regulatory and business change projects
- Implement new laws and regulations
- Advise on legal risk matters and support with commercial risk mitigation
- Work both independently and as part of a team
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Solicitor role will be a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years post qualification experience. Experience gained in a top-tier commercial law firm would be preferred. You should have broad-based experience advising on a range of legal matters in a commercial context. Strong contract drafting skills are essential for this role. While experience in Irish, UK or European insurance/financial services law and regulation would be an advantage, it is not essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is pro-active, flexible and adaptable.
