Risk & Compliance Solicitor

Our client, a top full-service commercial law firm in Dublin, is seeking a part-time Risk & Compliance Solicitor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive professional organisation that has been part of the fabric of Irish business for over 200 years. The successful candidate will have the chance to promote best practice in risk and compliance management across the firm.

What you'll do:

• Identify, update and draft relevant risk-related policies and key legal documents
• Review new and pending legislation and guidance notes, analysing their impact on the firm
• Provide support, education and risk management training for staff
• Liaise with regulatory bodies on matters including professional standards, compliance and ethics
• Manage processes relating to data privacy matters
• Organise and vice-chair all risk management committee meetings
• Assist in administering the Firm's PII cover
• Manage the Firm’s risk registers
• Arrange and oversee the annual file review process
• Deal with all relevant risk issues/queries that arise within the firm

What you bring:

• Proven experience as a senior qualified lawyer in a large corporate environment or PSL with relevant experience working for a high-profile organisation
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to document work, prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
• Previous relevant experience in a similar role in a professional services/partnership environment would be advantageous
• Understanding of the PII regulations would be beneficial
• Excellent administration skills - strong MS office computer and presentation skills
• Good communication skills – both written and oral
