A global investment company is looking for a Legal Counsel to join the team in Dublin on 12 month maternity contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for their next role and keen to develop their in-house skill set.
Reporting into the Head of Legal and primarily focusing on commercial matters, but might also include the management of disputes involving the company, data protection, project and regulatory work and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and negotiate contracts and other legal documents with clients, vendors and third parties.
• Be a key legal adviser on projects across the Irish business.
• Provide advice on legal issues and developments, legal risk, relevant regulatory issues as well as policy drafting.
• Support ongoing data protection initiatives across the business.
• Maintain a file of active and potential disputes, set case strategy, negotiate settlements, and supervise external counsel.
• Effectively prioritise work and manage time
• Escalate key issues for decision or information using appropriate judgement as to when to do so.
Key Requirements:
• Irish qualified solicitor with minimum 2-3 +years PQE
• Strong commercial contracts experience.
• Able to make appropriate judgements regarding relative importance
• Team player and able to work effectively within a small team.
