Senior Legal Counsel

Robert Walters are delighted to be partnering with a US based E-commerce company setting up operations in Dublin. They are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team. This is a new role and with it being a start up they require this person to work in the office 5 days a week, based in Dublin city centre and reporting to the General Counsel in the US.

Working alongside the General Counsel, you will be responsible for setting up a strong EU legal team focusing on regulatory compliance and responsible for the following:

• Lead team members to provide counsel on one or multiple major legal disciplines (IP, consumer, trade, privacy, employment, corporate)
• Identify, research, and evaluate alternative risk factors regarding business decisions and overall operations
• Design efficient legal strategies to support and protect business operations
• Apply effective risk management strategies and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues

Key Requirements:
• 7+ years of legal practice or in-house experience and 3+ years experience in regulatory compliance or working with issues relating to online marketplace, online retail or online payment
• Have an entrepreneurial mindset and is practice
• Need to have the ability to work independently
• Work with integrity and a high degree of responsibility
