A leading asset manager is seeking to recruit a legal counsel to join their legal team. You will report to the head of legal.

Key responsibilities of legal counsel:

• Manage, in cooperation with external service provider, registration of UCITS funds in foreign jurisdictions and with review and maintenance of foreign registration requirements for the company and compliance in foreign jurisdictions where business carried out
• Draft and negotiate distribution agreements, broker agreements, service agreements, local representative and paying agency agreements, confidentiality agreements, investment management agreements
• Assist with updates to fund documentation and interpretation of legal and regulatory requirements
• Deal with ad-hoc investor queries in relation to subscription and redemption process, fund documentation

As the legal counsel you will have 2+ years' PQE in the financial services sector preferably funds (this level of experience is intended as guidance only and does not preclude someone with more or less experience from applying for the role). ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, excellent professional writing skills and fluency in English.
