COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST Location: Dublin An exciting opportunity for a Compliance Specialist to join a dynamic life assurance business. What you'll do:


As a Compliance Specialist, your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting the Compliance function. You will be responsible for assisting in the production of high-quality compliance reports for senior management and the Board. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and governance requirements. You will support the review, implementation, and maintenance of compliance frameworks while monitoring the effectiveness of controls in mitigating compliance risks. Developing an in-depth understanding of key business processes and their associated regulatory risks will be essential. You will also execute compliance risk assessments and provide guidance on regulatory matters across the business.

Assist in the production of high-quality quarterly and annual compliance reports for senior management and the Board.
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and governance requirements.
Support the review, implementation, and maintenance of compliance frameworks.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of controls in mitigating compliance risks.
Develop an in-depth understanding of key business processes and their associated regulatory risks.
Execute compliance risk assessments, monitoring, and reporting.
Provide guidance and advice on regulatory matters across the business.
Maintain compliance databases and registers.
Conduct AML sanction checks as required.


What you bring:


To succeed as a Compliance Specialist in our organisation, you should bring along your compliance-related qualification or be in the process of obtaining one. Your previous experience working in a Compliance Function within an Insurance Undertaking will be highly valued. A strong understanding of industry regulations and standards including data protection, AML, and CPC is essential. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to provide clear guidance on regulatory matters across the business. Your interpersonal skills will help foster collaboration within our team.


A compliance-related qualification or currently obtaining one.
Previous experience working in a Compliance Function within an Insurance Undertaking.
Strong understanding of industry regulations and standards including data protection, AML, and CPC.
Excellent communication skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally within a team.
