A leading global Insurance business based in South Dublin are seeking a Procurement Manager to join their Dublin business

Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager

  • Ensuring that all spends are optimally sourced and managed in accordance with appropriate governance and risk policies. Driving the cost reduction effort and delivering realisable cost savings for the business
  • Ensuring that appropriate due diligence is carried out on all sourcing activity

  • Execute sourcing events using most suitable sourcing tools /channels
  • Developing appropriate category management strategies across all areas of spend.
  • Acting as a source of expert market & supplier knowledge for each spend category
  • Gathering qualitative & quantitative data as required from internal & external networking/benchmarking.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with operational and senior stakeholders, to fully understand and help shape business requirements.

As the Procurement Manager you will have a Purchasing/Sourcing/Procurement background. You will have exposure to managing different categories and ideally have expsoure to working with IT providers.

This role is managed by Walters People entity which is a temporary recruitment agency.
