A leading bank based in Dublin is seeking to hire an IT manager for their growing IT team.

Key responsibilities of the IT manager:

  • Delivering application solutions for a range of small to medium projects, managing the design, development, implementation, risks, control elements and costs of the project life-cycle
  • Maintaining the appropriate governance and management of the change/release plan to ensure changes are timely and well-managed
  • Analyse application changes to ensure that all developments meet business needs and specifications
  • Monitor and maintain adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis
  • Develop, maintain and manage the tools and processes to track and report on project status, budgeting, and delivery
  • Establish, develop and maintain a good working relationship with the Service provider, including the near and offshore teams
  • Monitor the performance of the Outsourced Applications and Infrastructure Service provider to ensure quality and consistency of service and adherence to agreed service levels
  • Support the Service Delivery Managers in analysing the impact of any material changes to the Service contract.

As the IT manager you will be educated to degree level or higher in information systems, computer science or related discipline. You will have 2+ years’ experience in project management in financial services (this level of experience is intended as guidance only and does not preclude someone with more or less experience from applying for the role). You will have knowledge of system design, development, implementation and user support principles and practices. You will also have experience of implementing and/or supporting trading and risk systems. Knowledge of Mysis Summit and/or SAP is advantageous.
