A global financial services organisation is setting up an investment management entity in Dublin City Centre and seeking to hire a chief risk officer
Key responsibilities of the chief risk officer:
- Ensure risk appetite for Ireland is appropriately defined for all risk types with sufficient granularity to enable understanding and embedding
- Defining policies and strategies for managing risk; ensuring economic capital and other risk metrics are embedded into decision making and business planning. Aggregate and challenge risk profile and ensure that it stays within agreed risk appetite
- Advise and challenge the first line's risk taking activities. Form an independent view of the risks being accepted by Ireland, providing effective challenge on all risk types
- Ongoing development, integrity and embedding of an appropriate risk framework (processes, policies, procedures and supporting systems) across Ireland, ensuring consistent application of risk management and internal control practices to divisional and group standards
As the chief risk officer you will have a post graduate professional qualification and have an understanding of the risks the Group has appetite to write, hedge and other techniques for mitigating risks. You will have Investment Management Expertise and an understanding of investment management techniques, regulation and processes, especially with regard to risk management, compliance and performance reporting and also have a proven long-term track record of financial services experience.
