Senior Compliance Officer

I am working with an insurance firm who are looking for a senior compliance officer position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring early identification and understanding of upcoming and future regulations and guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Compliance Framework.
• Identify, interpret, and analyse upstream regulation, legislation risks, and regulator commentary.
• Engage with business areas to advise on the impact of new and upcoming regulations.
• Track and report regulatory risk developments to management.
• Provide advice on the effectiveness of controls and compliance policies.
• Assist with regulatory engagements
• Engage regularly with senior management.
• Promote a positive consumer culture in all interactions.
• Carry out additional compliance tasks as required by management.

Requirements:

• Professional Diploma in Compliance (LCOI) or working towards completion.
• Minimum four years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of current financial service legislative and regulatory environment, particularly conduct risk.
• General insurance background desirable
• Ability to interpret legal text and commentary.
• Highly organised with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritise tasks in a demanding environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening and influencing abilities.
• Attention to detail.
