A wealth management firm are looking for a head of compliance to join their Dublin team for an 11 month contract. This is a fixed term contract however there is possibility of contract extension or a permanent group role towards the end of the contract. This is an exclusive role and they are seeking someone immediately available or with a 1 month or less notice period.
Responsibilities of the head of compliance:
- Oversee all regulatory obligations, particularly that of MiFID
- Maintain annual compliance plan
- Monitor the firm's risk register
- Liaise with the central bank of Ireland
- Ensure policies and procedures are updated and well implemented
- Provide compliance training
- Act as central point of contact for internal compliance matters
- Report to the board and other relevant committees
- Promote compliance culture
As an ideal candidate for this role you will have previously held a head of compliance or senior manager role. You will have experience working with an investment firm and/or have sound knowledge of MiFID regulations. You will be able to work as part of a team and also independently and be comfortable dealing with both regulators and senior stakeholders.
