Group Accountant

I'm working with a global aircraft leasing company that are looking to hire a group accountant for their growing team in Dublin.

Key requirements of the role include:

• Identify trends, conduct forward-looking analysis, and perform sensitivity analysis to support executive decisions.
• Establish and maintain key metrics to provide insights into business performance.
• Develop financial models for Maintenance Reserve Income Recognition, Impairment, and Residual Values to guide strategic decisions.
• Prepare month-end and quarter-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, ensuring Sox-standard controls.
• Collaborate with investor relations to prepare and release accurate quarterly results presentations on time.
• Provide commercial and accounting advice on structuring debt, aircraft, and lease transactions, and assess their business impact.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by the Financial Controller.

Necessary skills & experience:

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling abilities, with project management experience.
• Experience in SOx-compliant environments.
• Familiarity with SUN accounting software (preferred).
• Demonstrated strong quantitative skills.
• Proven problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
