Financial Analyst – FP&A and Capital Management

If you are interested in a unique opportunity to develop a level of subject matter expertise, play an integral role in the companies strategic priorities, and have significant exposure to senior management then keep reading.... The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of many key facets of a large financial institution including its legal structure; product offerings; functional teams; and balance sheet.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Keeping up with the requirements for regulatory stress testing
  • Promptly delivering important regulatory requirements
  • Helping to create believable economic stress scenarios
  • Helping to create and maintain a set of capital-generating management actions; owning the excel modelling necessary for each scenario
  • Supporting the delivery of regulatory submissions; producing and delivering Committee papers; and continuing process improvement.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Understanding of relevant Capital Stress Testing Regulatory framework
  • Previous experience in a Capital and/or Financial Planning role or other role involving a significant financial analysis component
  • Previous experience in a finance function within a financial institution preferred
  • Strong understanding of performance drivers and balance sheet dynamics
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to develop robust financial analysis and work with complex financial models

Desired:

  • Holder of a relevant professional qualification (ACA/ ACCA)
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships
  • Customer outcome focus and effective stakeholder management
  • A clear focus on quality and efficiency
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
