Regulatory Reporting - Data Operations - Associate

Are you a data-driven professional with expertise in regulatory reporting and a passion for delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, heavily regulated environment? We are seeking AVPs and Associates to join our clients team as a Regulatory Reporting Data Operations SME. This role is pivotal in driving our regulatory reporting transformation into a data-centric organisation while ensuring compliance with key European regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of a single-source-of-truth data strategy aligned with ECB requirements (e.g., iREF/BIRD).
• Support the production of core regulatory reports such as COREP, FINREP, Pillar 3 disclosures, EBA QIS, and stress tests.
• Build and maintain robust controls to ensure accurate, high-quality data and reports, including accounting reconciliations, period-over-period analysis, and consistency checks.
• Manage and monitor data quality issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare assurance packs, management review materials, and ad-hoc data requests by extracting and analysing relevant data.
• Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements using automation tools, data analytics, and visualisation solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong skills in data analytics with advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL (for database interaction), Power BI, or Power Automate.
• Proven experience in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or product control within financial institutions or consultancy firms.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; professional qualifications are advantageous.
• Ability to understand complex concepts, challenge them constructively, and communicate findings clearly.
• Self-starter with a hands-on mentality who thrives in dynamic environments.
