Financial Accountant - Kildare/Hybrid

A well known organisation is looking to hire a newly qual or someone with 0-2 years PQE to join the team as Financial Accountant for a varied finance role with great opportunties to progress your career. This role is based in Kildare but offering fleixble hybrid model. Salary is €65,000 - €70,000 DOE plus bonus, pension and health.

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant

• Ownership of a portfolio of entities within the group including responsibility for completion of all month end functions in the preparation of accurate and timely management reports
• Responsibility for revenue recognition on forward fund and construction contracts
• Support the group reporting processes
• Coordinate and participate in the drafting of the single entity financial statements
• Participate in half year and year end reporting including financial statement preparation
• Liaise with the group's internal and external auditors
• Assist in the preparation of the annual report, the coordination and response to internal audit reviews and the maintenance and update of the risk register
• Support the annual and quarterly budgeting and reforecasting processes
• Partner with departments across the business, provide informative analysis on margin, overhead and capex variances
• Review and enhance processes to streamline financial reporting and improve controls
• Provide input into Finance related projects, as required

Key requirements of the Financial Accountant

• Professional Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA)
• 'Big 4'/Top 10 trained
• Experience in the construction industry is a bonus
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Solver an advantage
• Ability to work across several workstreams and meet strict deadlines
• Self-motivated and solution driven
