A leading Insurance company based in Dublin City Centre is seeking to hire an Internal Auditor.
Responsibilities of the Internal Auditor include:
Assurance Role: Provide an objective assessment on control, risk management and governance processes
- Consulting role: If required by management, to provide consulting services to assist management in meeting its objectives on governance, risk and control matters. This may include advising, training, control self-assessment, risk identification, due diligence, fraud investigations, bench marking reviews and the like. Note: it does not involve rendering an Audit opinion
- External Audit Co-ordinate audit plans / activities with external audit to ensure that they can rely on the Internal Audit work as much as possible
The Internal Auditor, will be a qualified accountant with ACA / ACCA with at least 1-3 years PQE (this level of experience is intended as guidance only and does not preclude someone with more or less experience from applying for the role). You will also have experience ideally "Big 4" trained with previous experience in audit / financial services. Strong understanding of Risk Management and Controls is advantageous.
