Financial Controller D11 - Wholesale

A well established Irish owned company circa €15 million turnover based in West Dublin is looking to hire a Financial Controller for a permanent position to leas a small but well established finance team. Previous experience in a business within Wholesale/Inventory Control is essential for this role.

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and strategic planning. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and Senior Management Team to drive performance excellence and deliver on the company’s long-term growth objectives. This role also involves leading transformation projects within the Finance Department and supporting cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management accounts.
• Coordinate budget preparation and financial forecasts while monitoring variances.
• Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations.
• Lead cash flow management, debt collection processes, and credit control.
• Oversee internal controls by documenting business processes and accounting policies.
• Support procurement-related matters, including multi-currency purchases.
• Drive innovation by leveraging technology to enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Build and lead a high-performing finance team through training and development.
• Manage relationships with external partners such as banks, auditors, legal firms, and service providers.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant with certification from the relevant authority.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance management position (sector experience preferred).
• Strong commercial awareness with proven experience in implementing business strategies.
• Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and accounting.
• A technology-driven mindset with experience in business intelligence tools and analytics to support decision-making.
