Location: Dublin (Hybrid working model – 2 days in office) Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week) Salary: €78,000 plus benefits Are you an experienced finance professional looking to make a meaningful impact? Robert Walters are partnering with an amazing charity seeking a dynamic and motivated Head of Finance to join a leading national charity dedicated to making a difference.

Having experience in the not for profit sector will be advantageous for this role.

The Role

As Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Finance by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance function. You will ensure robust financial management, compliance with relevant standards, and provide strategic insights to drive organisational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial and management reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate information for senior leadership and board committees.
  • Ensure integrity of annual financial statements in compliance with legal requirements and accounting standards.
  • Drive financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Implement and manage strong financial controls aligned with legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to organisational strategy as part of the senior management team.
  • Develop process improvements to enhance reporting capabilities and drive efficiencies.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, bankers, investment advisors, insurance brokers, and other professional partners.
  • Lead change initiatives within the finance function while supporting broader organisational changes.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, development, and performance management of the finance team.

About You

You are a qualified finance professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE). You have strong technical expertise in accounting standards, advanced Excel skills, and ideally experience with Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can apply your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
