Financial Controller Wicklow

A multinational company in Wicklow (Hybrid option but preferred office base for first few weeks) is hiring a Financial Controller to manage the Irish finance division with a European element to the role also. Salary is in the €80,000 - €100,000 range DOE, pension, health insurance and pension. Previous EMEA finance experience would be beneficial in industries such as FMCG, Construction and Distribution for this role.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller

  • Reporting to and supporting the Finance Director on the performance and strategic
  • development of the finance function.
  • Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and
  • other financial reports for review
  • Maintain and control check and balances on various nominal ledger account in line
  • with month end preparation
  • Full responsibility for the oversight of Group payroll
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of growth and
  • efficiency. Managing a team of 4 accounts staff.
  • Preparing annual budgets, short term and long term cashflows
  • Engaging with the commercial department to ensure accuracy of various rates in use
  • for estimating on projects.
  • Preparation of information for external auditors for the annual audit

Key requirements of the Financial Controller

  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA Qualified Accountant with relevant industry experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, with strong communication and
  • interpersonal capabilities
  • Results-driven, proactive, and commercially aware, with high levels of integrity and a
  • focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide

actionable insights.
