Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist Job include:
- As an Accounting Specialist, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our client's operations
- You will be entrusted with key responsibilities such as delivering period end close, completing bank reconciliations, assisting with audits, and partnering with other teams to ensure budget adherence. Your ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines will be crucial in this role
- Deliver period end close including responsibility for overhead accounts with commentary on variances to budget
- Complete bank reconciliations within D365
- Review all banking activities to detect irregularities/differences and ensure any found are fully investigated and/or corrected
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts aiming for SOX compliance
- Assist with group and local audits
- Support in the analysis of orders/billing
- Business partner with marketing team to support them with tracking against budget
- Provide cover for different functions in the accounts department as needed
Requirements of the Accounting Specialist Job include:
- Ambition to progress as a senior finance professional
- Strong Excel skills including Index Match/XLOOKUP are essential
- Highly confident in performing bank and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Ability to work to strict and demanding deadlines
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team in challenging environment
- Flexibility and ability to provide cover across all areas in accounts where required
- Comfortable working with multiple systems
