A leading Reinsurance company in Dublin is looking for a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their team in Dublin as a Financial Analyst. If you are newly qualified or soon to be accountant and looking for your first move away from Practice into a more commercial role then this is the role for you!
As a Financial Analyst you will be responsible for a portfolio of treaties and will prepare quarterly analysis and reports and ensure that all quarter end deadlines are met.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse technical results as well as providing insight to internal and intergroup stakeholders
- Produce reports to a high standard like Board and Audit Committee reports and Analytical reporting for Group Stakeholders
- Ownership of a portfolio of treaties and responsible for all aspects of treaty management and the performance assessment of same
- Coordinate with business partners to produce reliable & high quality forecasts for presentation to
- Liaise with Underwriters and Actuaries in the preparation of forecast results
- Prepare analytical review and commentary for Group/management
- Complete technical analysis of new deals and new accounting standards and apply requirements effectively
- Cash management and liquidity planning for portfolio
- Liaise with internal and external auditors as required.
- Record client statements of accounts in SAP accounting system
- Participate in quarterly review of all contracts
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience working in a professional services firm with exposure to regulatory/ financial reporting
- Insurance industry experience is preferable but not essential
- Experience in SAP reporting tools an advantage
- Dynamic self-starter with an innovative mind-set
- Problem solver - proactively overcomes obstacles and implements effective solutions
