This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a business transformation programme, where you will play a key role in the monthly financial reporting and reconciliation process, financial analysis and other tasks across various finance projects. You will have the chance to contribute to the design of monthly reports, assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, and support system development within the finance function.

Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant Job include:

As a Financial Accountant, your primary responsibility will be managing monthly income reconciliations, contributing to report designs, and supporting continuous improvement of financial reporting processes. You will also play a crucial role in annual budgeting and forecasting processes for various projects. Your contribution towards creating and enhancing procedure manuals will be highly valued. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to support system development and upgrades within the finance function.

  • Preparation of monthly income reconciliations including analysing and investigating variances
  • Contributing to the design of monthly reports including reporting KPIs to management and other departments
  • Continuous improvement of financial reporting processes through review and documentation of current processes
  • Responsible for contributing to the annual budgeting and forecasting process for various projects involving finance reconciliation
  • Assisting in the creation and enhancement of procedure manuals and standardisation of processes
  • Supporting the system development and upgrade within the finance function

Requirements of the Financial Accountant Job:

The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant position brings along a recognised accounting qualification with at least 2 years post qualification experience or significant work experience in an equivalent role. You should have experience preparing management accounts, reconciliations, and annual financial statements. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for effective interaction with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Your ability to work independently, as part of a team or as a group leader will be highly valued. A good analytical ability with a logical approach to problem-solving is required along with strong organisational skills.

  • Part ACCA Qualification or recent, Post Qualification
  • Experience with the preparation of management accounts, reconciliations and annual financial statements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team and as leader of a group
  • Good analytical ability with a logical approach to problem solving and sound judgement
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
