EMEA Senior Financial Accountant

One of the world’s most recognisable brands is looking to hire an EMEA Senior Financial Accountant to join on a permanent basis due to an internal promotion. In this role you will report directly to the Finance Manager and oversee two Assistant Accountants. This role offers excellent opportunities to progress in a large Irish finance function. Salary is €75,000 - €85,000 plus bonus and benefits. Two days in office is required.

This client is looking for someone Big 4 trained with atleast three years PQE in a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant

• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and provide commentary on accounts to support month-end and quarterly reporting.
• Lead and develop two Assistant Accountants through coaching and mentoring.
• Collaborate with local contacts on financial accounting matters for assigned entities.
• Complete promotional allowance reporting and quarterly reconciliations.
• Participate in Country Manager/Customer calls to provide financial insights.
• Prepare supplementary information for quarterly/annual reporting.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and manage audits for responsible entities.
• Coordinate with tax advisors and third-party providers as needed.
• Assist with inventory-related tasks and processes.
• Support process improvements and project-related activities.
• Contribute to the integration of new entities into the finance function.
• Address ad hoc month-end queries as required.

Key requirements of the Senior Financial Accountant

• Big 4 trained, Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3 years post-qualified experience in industry.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in team development and management.
• Familiarity with working in a fast-paced, multi-currency environment.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance is advantageous.
• Proficiency in SAP is highly desirable.
• Strong MS Outlook and Excel skills are essential.
