Commercial Finance Accountant

Are you a qualified accountant with an interest in a commercial role within an exciting, and growing industry? Our clients are recruiting for a Commercial management Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting and reporting, including management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for the After Sales divisions.
  • Perform monthly sales and margin reconciliation and analysis.
  • Manage accounting, budgeting, and forecasting for Overheads and Advertising ledger codes.
  • Prepare and submit bi-monthly VAT returns.
  • Handle internal fleet pricing, accounting, analysis, and reporting, and liaise with the internal fleet team.
  • Manage monthly dealer payments, account reconciliation, and related reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Product Department on vehicle pricing and margin analysis.
  • Review costings and sponsorship agreements with the Marketing Department.
  • Participate in the annual audit and ensure efficient execution.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit data for annual insurance renewal.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CPA, ACA, or CIMA).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in discussing financial data with stakeholders.
  • Clear communication skills and team collaboration.
  • High proficiency with MS Excel and financial IT systems.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach.
